Default 2.3l turbo

i was worderin if anyone could help me out im goin between turboin my stock 2.3 in my 97 ranger its 5 speed or v8 conversion im wonderin how much the turbo would help it im kind of on a tight budget but i found a turbo kit for 600 but i already have a 302 jus gotta build it if someone could help me out i would appreciate it

I would go with turbo.

Find you a 80's t-bird with a good 2.3t in it and drop it in.

That turbo kit for 600 dollars probably does not adress the issue of you stock internal engine parts not being forged. So I wouldnt waste my money on it.

well if imma put a different motor in it shouldn i jus build my 331 for all the work i would come off better with a small block wouldn i . i dont know how quick she would be with jus a turbo motor

I got a friend with a 94 reg vab. He dropped in a 2.3t from a t-bird and it is freaking fast.

i drag race do u think that ranger was atleast in the 12s or did it jus have top end

I wish someone would turbo a duratec. I guess aluminum and turbos don't mix?

Duramax diesel's have aluminum heads

The duratec heads probably wouldn't be beefy enough

No, cast parts and no aftermarket support for turbo manifolds don't mix, lol. There are guys that have done it though...
