Default Air on, Power loss

Basically, it comes down to the description. When ever I turn on the AC, especially, the car has an obvious loss of power. When your driving at a regular speed, say 55mph, then you decide to turn the air on, you notice the car loose power. Then the car is somewhat slugglish. This happens at anytime. You hear a click, i am assuming the ac turning on, then the car looses some power.
Does anyone have a fix for this? or an idea of what it could be?

thats completely normal. all small motors do that. my 3.0 does it also. at a complete stop turn on the a/c and watch the rpm's drop. The a/c pump take a lot of power. no need to worry

Nothing new. Vehicles equipped with AC have been doing this since the product was invented. I notice it even in my 4.0.

Well that sucks, no pun intended. One thing that I have done though is when I drive with both windows, reg cab, I get really good gas mileage. I can get about 28mpg highway, at speeds of 65-75mph. So I guess that is my only solution. Oh well.
