Default Very picky & preferential stumble

My '96 w/ 2.3 & 5 speed has a weird hiccup. At EXACTLY 2500 RPM (in any gear) the motor stumbles momentarily. At 2600 it is smooth. Around 3200
the motor really starts pulling nicely. Replaced the timing belt and it has new plugs, wires, and coils. Any suggestions before I install a V8 out of sheer frustration? Thanks from a new member(ME)

Do a search on stumble
Sometimes I find answers by searching for different words related to my problem.
Obviously not all members are looking at the posts daily, though some may know the answer.

Good Luck

I have to tell you that I have never heard of a truck's engine stumble at one RPM only and smooth everywhere else along the rev spectrum. It makes no sense to me.

2500 rpm exactly- in any gear. Momentary. Really odd.

to have the stumble at that exact rpm every time no matter the gear sorta makes it sound like a computer / electrical type problem.

Given the ignition system has been re-vamped with new parts and no change, I would look to fuel. First thing to consider with a stumble is the MAF. If it gets schmutz on the wire(s), it will give bogus info to the computer about airflow. Could be 2500 is an inflection(change) point. Could also be a bad spot(worn bit) on the TPS, where the computer gets the idea that the throttle is closed due to bum signal.
You can inspect the MAF and clean with spray or a feather(most say it is DELICATE and you don't want to experiment to find out), and can put a VOM on the TPS, or get a boneyard unit, which may just change the dropout point, but you might know at low cost.
