Default What years 2.3, 2.5 battery cover will fit a 98 2.5?

I'm looking to get like a similar oem battery cover/blanket that was on the original battery. I've added the custom to oem fog light harness a few years ago and the battery gassing has corroded the wires evern though it's covered in wrapping. I'm thinking if I can add the cover and some more electrical wrapping it might protect it longer. But I cannot find the battery cover anymore. It was originally a 58-BXT battery. So I'm wondering if any other years might still fit. I would assume they all used the 58 or 59 series battery but not sure if the cover was similar in later years.

If the battery is leaking enough acid to corrode the terminals then it is on borrowed time. Buy an AGM battery and the terminals will never corrode.
I don't understand how wrapping a battery has anything to do with terminal corrosion prevention.

As I understand, a battery will outgas hydrogen. It can also exude acid if it is being charged at a fast rate. You may want to check the battery condition and the regulator function to be sure that the battery is not being destroyed by overcharging or charging at a high amperage rate.
If I understood, the terminals for the fog lights are the ones being corroded and damaged by the battery 'outgassing'. I don't think a battery cover, or a wrap-around blanket if that's what you mean, will prevent the outflow. The blanket type cover I have seen is more to protect the battery from underhood temperature, I think.
Perhaps a better solution would be to do the above checks on battery and charging system, and if they prove to be working properly, protecting the fog light terminals and connectors by coating them with a preservative. I think spray lithium grease might stick without causing too much of a mess. You can also consider globbing some petroleum jelly(Vaseline type) onto the terminals. Wheel bearing grease will also protect as will chassis grease(like from a grease gun cartridge). I wonder what the fumes/spray/droplets/whatevers are doing to the sheet metal of the hood, fenders and radiator support. Might want to check their condition(on the inside, out of sight areas).
