Default Code P0302

I have a DTC P0302 (misfire cylinder 2). I have replaced the plugs and plug wires and still have this code. Could the likely culprit be a bad coil pack? If so, would I have to replace both coil packs?

Default Re: Code P0302

Given that cylinders 2 & 3 share a coil, using 'waste spark', it may be that cylinder 3 is causing the problem. I have not thought it through.
You should be able to swap the coils for one and other, and if the problem goes away, you know you need at least one coil. If I understand correctly, one coil fires the drivers side, the other coil firing the passenger side plugs. In that case, swapping coils should be a valid test.
Waste spark means both plug pairs, 1&4 and 2&3 fire at the same time, one lighting off the fuel:air, the other just sparking for the fun of it. The spark goes through one plug the normal way, across the block/head/ and jumpst to the center electrode of the other plug and thence back to the coil. Ugh to get my head around.
Check cylinder 3 for problems, swap coils and see what happens.
