Default Fuel system power loss?

1985 2.3l. Was driving down the road yesterday and the truck just completely died. No hesitation. Now when trying to turn key you can't hear fuel pump prime or the fuel pump relay close the circut. (truck has a new pump and relay) is there something I'm missing? Where does the power go after the fuel relay? Any diagrams? Thanks

so if I manually close the relay (ground the tan/green wire) the circut closes and fuel runs. Anyone know where this tan/green wire runs ?

Keep answering my own questions lol

But that tan green wire goes to pin 22 in the ECU. The ground for the relay is controlled my the computer. I did a continuity test between the relay and ECU, connection is good... What does this mean moving forward?

secondary relay inside the truck.. it powers EEC(computer), fuel injectors, a few sensors, spark system and the fuel pump relay.. had a bad ground. Fixed it and now my truck will prime for those 2 seconds and runs just fine.

Thanks for the help. Lol. Answered all my own questions. Big brain power.

Too quick for me. I have one and the matching EVTM with all the pictures and diagrams. If you can find one, it is worth it.
Some of the EEC-IV computers reach a vintage thing where the capacitors start to fail on the board. The pump will not run then, or maybe it won't stop running. If the pump keeps running, it will not start the engine until it does stop. Old Bird had that, 97, and we had to wait for the pump to stop before the engine would then start. I tried the capacitor swap, but no worky. Re-man time for that one. So far so good.

Good to know. I’ll remember that in the future if I get a similar issue
