2.5L Access to #3 cylinder intake spark plug

Hello,

I will be changing the spark plugs on my 2000 Ranger 2.5L next week. So I was scoping out the job today... When I look between the #2 and #3 intake manifold runners, I see a big ole coolant or vacuum hose clamped to a metal nipple which appears to block access to the #3 cylinder's intake-side spark plug. For you folks that have changed your own plugs will this hose be in the way and do I need to remove it?

I didnt remove any hoses for the removal of that plug, or to reinstall the new one. The problem for me was getting the spark plug wire boot back on. Very difficult.

It is very tough to reuse Lima 2.3/2.5 plug wires, they always seem to fall apart when removing them. Replace the wires with new ones.
The first I replaced the plugs on a 2.5 it took 3 hours of cussing.
