The pilot bearing can be checked ... step on the clutch, in gear, and the pilot is being put to use. Foot off the clutch, pilot runs in synch with the flywheel & input shaft to the transmission.
Have you checked your U-joints? A joint on the way out can squeak and chirp, and if going really, it may let the drive shaft get off-center which would have the tendency to make the cab want to go up and down(limitation of the cab mounts?), getting worse over time, making more noise and adding vibration.
If you look, many times there is evidence of rust with staining coming from the cross ends, where the needle bearings are located. If you grab onto the drive shaft, you should not be able to wiggle it much in any direction.
