Default 2000 Ford Ranger 2.5l rwd engine swap

Happy Easter All !!

I have some questions. I have a 2.5l rwd ranger. I want to either install a 2.3 l lima turbo from a 87 T-bird or rebuild the 2.5l and install a turbo.

First will the 87 turbo mount to my 4R44E/55E transmission?
Second what modifications will I have to make as the engines are pretty much the same?
Third would I be better off rebuilding the 2.5 and adding a turbo. If so what is the recommended cyclinder hone diameter? Is there an upgraded cyclinder or should I take the existing one to machine shop and have it bored. For the turbo, what exhaust heads, intercooler, trans cooler, and of course turbo should I get? Was thinking of a twin scroll for 25+ boost and upgrading the fuel pump and injectors.

Thoughts recommendations PLEASE!!! IM A PM by trade so I need to plan out and price.

Thanks
