Default Fuel injector specs ???

I tried searching here but maybe I'm using the wrong search words.

I'm looking for the lb/hr rating and any other information on the stock injectors for my 2003 2.3 Duratec. I believe they are EV-6 / USCAR and high impedance. I'm not sure about the lb/hr rating. The old Lima's were 14# IIRC but I'm not sure about the Duratec's. Maybe 17# or 19# or are they still 14#?

Fuel pressure is somewhere between 55 and 65 psi at the rail, right?

Any other information on flow rates (or really anything else fuel related) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I certainly don't have a definitive answer, but logic indicates that both power plants being of the same displacement, and general rpm ranges for operation being close, and fuel:air ratios staying static, I'd suspect that the lb/hr rating would be the same. The only time it would change would be if more fuel per hour was required for operation, such as turbocharging, where more than normal ambient air pressure would cause more than normal air to be inducted/forced in a given time frame.
Maybe take the part numbers embossed, and look up the specs, or actual manufacturer and go to their web site?

Injector information on the net is about as easy to find as the Fountain of Youth. The old Lima was a 14 lb/hr injector and what I can find on the net is that the Duratech is supposedly 18 lb/hr. I am trying to confirm that without having to go out and take one out. Going to a manufacturer website (Denso, Bosch, etc.) doesn't give much for results. They seem to be rather silent on technical numbers. Information on some injectors can be found on InjectorPlanet but not for all injectors.

The Duratech isn't a turbo version of the Lima but if what I'm reading is correct, it has a higher flow rate. If the actual fuel requirements of the two engines (Lima/D-tec) are similar and the flow rates are different, I assume the D-tec has a shorter injector pulse? (Low flow + longer pulse = higher flow + shorter pulse) Maybe it has something to do with the fuel pressure? I think the Lima was around 20 psi and the D-tec is around 60 psi. If the 18 lb/hr is correct then it is either in the ECU or fuel pressure differences between the two variants.

I searched for 'ford fuel injector flow rate' and got a site that may give you the info you want, try here:

http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm

Scroll on down to the Ford section and it lists in the rightmost column the application, and the leftmost the part number.
The Ford part numbers used to start with a XY##-part-number, with the X being the decade, and the Y being the year. Being old, memory works from C5AZ-33333, with C being 6 and 5 being the 5 in 1965. You may figure out the numbers for current parts using that decoder or not.
There's a user handled 'numberdummy' or number-dummy on Ford-trucks that can come up with a lot of part number information if you post a query... perhaps a PM pointing him to a post on the site.

Thanks for the link tomw0. It's a lot of information but hopefully I can find what I'm looking for. Good stuff there.
