Default Where to splice in for a vacuum gauge

I've looked and only found two threads on installing a vacuum gauge, but both have zero replies. I'm hoping this one doesn't become the third.

I'm looking to hook up a vacuum gauge in my '03 XL with a 2.3l Duratech. Where is a good place to splice in the tubing to run to the gauge? Is there an unused or capped off port or do I have to cut and splice in a T fitting somewhere?

Any advice?

Thanks.

Normally I've seen people run tees on vacuum lines coming directly out of the intake. This should give you the most accurate reading

Older models had a small multiple port vacuum manifold on the firewall. The ports were plugged/covered except for the ones in use, such as HVAC, power brake booster, cruise control. Any of those should work if you have a manifold. Some also had plugged ports near the top of the upper intake manifold.(Lima anyway)
If you work backward from the power brake booster, you may find an easy port to tap into.
