Default My lucky 2nd 2.3L few problems

A guy from work sold me his 2000 2.3L ranger sport for a great deal. Here are a few pics. My main ? Is should the line coming out of the radiator be twisted?

Thanks for the reply, i was thinking that. Maybe it was over tightened. Do you believe that could effect the heat? Or restrict to much flow amd cause issues down the road.

It definitely will restrict any type of flow. As for causing issues, I really do not know. I personally would fix it

Thanks for your advice. Iv been planning on flushing the radiator due to rust sounds like a good time to fix it. Again thanks for the advice

I doubt it has much effect. My engineer dad told me about studies they had done on lube oil in B29 engines. The flow was not affected much until the line was close to being crimped closed. The fluid is under very little pressure, and if you disconnected the return line and caught the flow in a bucket, you'd find you had more than enough to keep the transmission cool.
I have done the same thing when the fittings on the kitchen sink slipped out of a wrench, and I twisted the supply line. From the flow, you could not tell that anything had happened, and it worked fine.

Does that line go to the radiator or to the condenser coil. If that line actually goes to the radiator it is an ATF line.
