Ford ranger 2.3 From Brazil
Hi, im Gabriel and im from brazil. I have my second ford ranger and im the one that loves ford ranger.
Here, in brazil unfortunatelly we dont have option for engine, so we just have option for diesel or gasoline, and gasoline comes only with 2.3 engine manual transmission, RWD.
My first was 2006 and my second and still mine is 2011 crew cab, 2.3 RWD, i can send a picture later, it is a different model that u guys have in US.
Im wondering to put a automatic transmission on mine, but fisrt i would like to hear from you if it is possible and it if gonna work well.
Second, i lifted the front of mine a little bit, using a torsion bar, and now my front is a little bit higher than the back when i put some weight on the truck, So what is the best way to lift a little bit on the back.
Another help is, the bush of swey bar are a making some noise when i het a irregular road, so i thinking to buy a good one, maybe polyurethane or anorher good material or brand that will work well, what brand or material is the best?
Is there any chip or turbo that i can install on my truck?

Re: Ford ranger 2.3 From Brazil
The transmission that would be easiest to install would be one from another Ranger of the same year. We may not have the same transmissions in US as you have locally.
To raise the bed, you can get longer spring shackles or get some attachments that move the spring shackles further away from the frame. The effect is to move the spring/wheels further away from the frame, raising the bed. Problem is that the center of gravity raises and makes the truck more subject to side forces, including cornering, and thus more susceptible to roll over.
Adding an automatic to a crew cab or long bed 2.3 is totally against the options of adding a turbo charger or chip, and will slow you down, and make acceleration slower.

Re: Ford ranger 2.3 From Brazil
Keep the manual trans, even though myself would say the automatic has MORE advantages over a manual trans off road wise, the manual will allow you others and be more fun; lets not even get into the topics of cost factors of repairs.
I'm under the assumption your working with a T6 Ford Ranger (world Ranger)? Depending on your needs and wants as for use of the truck there are many options available based upon the those needs and wants. Lifting and functional lifting can and often are two different things.
Some pics of your truck will be a starter in identifying what you're working with and the knowledge of the people with experiences within that platform or overall.
Welcome to the site btw
