Default Serpentine belt

Can I use a serpentine belt without ac on a ranger with ac? My ac hasn't worked in 4 years and now the compressor bearing is going out. I was just going to get a belt without ac and bypass it. Would this work? Thank in advance.

Technically you can do this, you'll just need the correct size belt. I do not know what the length is as I am in Florida and would never omit my A/C, but I'm sure someone in the forum is smarter than me and knows.

If the path of the serpentine will miss the A/C pulley, there's no problem using a non-A/C belt. Perhaps if you look at the underhood belt diagram, on the radiator support or the underside of the hood, you'll see the with and without pictures. If the without will go past the pulley, go for it. The belt won't even know it is bypassing your bad clutch bearings, so should throw no complaints.
If there is interference, you could remove the pulley to gain a 'clear' path for the belt, leaving the compressor in place if you wish.

Thanks for the info. I replaced the belt with a belt without ac with no issues.
