This morning on the way to work the cdl cam on flashing and the truck started chugging and losing power I had to use forth gear and baby it on the freeway at idle it cigs bad. Stopped at advance got a scan and said cyl 2 and 4 misfire. They said probably coils so I bought 2 new coils and 8 new plugs replaced them and same issue. I have limited tools and resources at work so anyone have any ideas? Couple of the plugs were white as if it were running lean maybe bad fuel injector? Anyway to clean or test them? Truck has 150k miles
Sorry guys got it home and ran tests fuel pump and pressure is good compression test was a fail on cyl 2 2psi. Pulled the head and it has a big chunk out of the exhaust valve. Called a local shop about prices of rebuilding it as I don't have much time or I would do it myself and they had a brand new head with valves and cam for 300. I guess a customer ordered it over 12 years ago and never got it. It's completely brand new not rebuilt so I bought it. Next question is I broke my timing cover with the timing marks is there another way to time it?
