Engine Cuts Off at Idle
I am a newbie to this forum (and to Ford Ranger ownership) and appreciate the work and support that such groups provide. I purchased a 1999 2.5L Ranger about 3 months ago. Upon purchase, I replaced the Air Bags (very minor front end collision), timing belt, water pump and the front ball joints. Yesterday a new adventure began when my check engine light suddenly came on after an engine "stumble" on the interstate. The local Advance Auto checked for engine codes but there were none although the Engine Check light continues to burn. Reortedly this happens frequently. Now, the engine cuts off at idle. Does anyone have any initial thoughts or ideas for me to pursue.
