Air Box Mod?
I've heard a little about the air box mod instead of buying a cold air intake, which doesn't do anything but look good. Can someone tell me what the mod is?

You remove the "snorkel" and it makes the hold bigger where air comes in
You can reverse it if you dont like it.
It will also give a little different sound to the truck.

Re: Air Box Mod?
It is an easy mod, and easy to put back together. I put mine back together since I saw no changes other than the noise. I didn't like the noise, as well.

Re: Air Box Mod?
Mod took about 5 minutes and made a big difference on my truck. Sounds much better and now has more power in the higher gears.

Re: Air Box Mod?
I dare you to put in the K&N air filter. They will ride you out on a rail on this site.

There is nothing wrong with going that route, as long as you understand the advantage/gain is only the reusable nature of it.
