Default No start/intermittent start

I have a 89 ranger, 2.3 first year DIS. Starting Friday when I replaced my instrument cluster with one out of my parts truck (91 2.9) I started the truck after replacing the cluster and it ran like crap, so logic says for me to replace with the old one. I did and since then I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, ICM, both coils, all 8 wires and all 8 plugs with a .044 gap. All of this has been intermittent issues and I figured replacing factory parts wasn't a bad idea anyway if it'd fix my truck but still nothing, any advice would be helpful! 9th 2.3 I've owned and been pretty much what I drive the last 5 years, very familiar with this engine but nobody knows everything

Well since the shotgun method has failed you, lets try to diagnose the problem.

Connect a fuel pressure test gauge and find out if you have fuel pressure while the engine will not start. also install a inline spark tester.

Find out what your missing during these intermittent no start conditions.

With this information we may be able to help start to narrow the problem down.

I'd bet you broke something, left something loose, knocked something loose, shorted something, or had a fuse turn to smoke. The ignition switch wiring is on top of the steering column, and could have been disturbed or knocked loose. They can 'fall apart' over time and fail to make good contact.
As suggested, you have to check basics to narrow the list of suspects...

Still possible to sell all 9 of your Rangers and get 1 good one ?

Likewise I'd first eliminate something that might of happened during the cluster swap.
