Yes! Had the battery charged at O'Reilly's, and the engine attempted to turn over... Still hasn't, though. Battery is in last quarter of life, so I'll probably buy a new one anyhow.
Looking to replace alternator, too, if it's needed.
Would starter still test okay if solenoid is bad?
Also, I haven't tried to turn the wheel, but I'm assuming that my father did yesterday, otherwise he would not have been able to check the teeth.
UPDATE: Bought new battery, engine still isn't cranking but the extra power is helping. It tries to start but then the spinning sound comes back again. I'm going to see if the starter is under warranty still and try to just replace it altogether
