Default New Valve Cover-Better Compression:Still dripping from above??

So I got a new gasket and the engine sounds more robust!

But I still have to clean oil dripping around the transmission

Oil seems to be dripping from above the transmission, like near the starter, but to the right and up into the engine bay.

I dont think this is caused by the rear main seal??
but correct me if I am wrong.

Picture might be too close, but looks like it might be from this tube that has a metal cover151026_190907[1].jpg

What year is your truck? To me that looks like the pre catalytic converter.

I was afraid my rear main seal was leaking but noticed oil up the side of the transmission and above it. I looks like I'm leaking from the same spot. I'll be watching this thread. Does anyone know what might be there that could leak?

Yours is probably the part of the valve cover gasket at the rear of the engine, try tightening bolts, if it still leaks you need a new gasket.
