Default Re: Duratec cooling mods -- Need to clear CEL

"I can still see faint traces of where coolant is coming out from the bottom of the cap."

"I have an ultragauge so I can see the engine temp. It ranges from about 190'F to about 215' F. IS this normal?"

I think I would check the lip of the degas bottle, and the underside of the bottle cap for any irregularities. The 'seam' where the blow mold fits together when the bottle is made might need to be addressed, with a slight flash allowing leakage/seepage. It should hold pressure.
The temps seem in line with the reported temps in the previous posts given you have the 'electrically assisted' thermostat. The design runs it 'hot' and within a small window of operating temps.
I do not think you have a problem, except for a possible flaw at the degas bottle lip or the cap.
