Mine did the same thing today and it was because my battery cable was fried... don't know if this helps but worth a shot

The on board diagnostic port is pcm trouble codes and pull data from the computer to assist in the diagnosis of vehicle drive ability problems like rough idle, lean conditions, and anything else that may cause your check engine light to come on . Don't be a parts thrower you will go broke fast.

The obd port is fuse 17 same as the cig lighter.

I will keep everyone posted and thank you all again for all of the input and ideas!
Swap the ac relay with the fuel pump relay and check for power to the pump relay.

i checked the fuse for the obd scan port. It is good and the cig lighter works. The port gets power but scanner says unable to scan. I tried 2 different auto shops. Hopefully tonight i can get time to straight wire the fuel pump just to see if it kicks on. Again Thank again for all of your ideas they have been extremely helpful! i will check back this evening

By ibd I am guessing you mean OBD. You said the OBD port has power but will not scan. When you check for codes was the ignition KOEO? Did the port do the same thing when the truck was running?

If you're checking for codes properly and you're getting an "unable to scan" that is an issue? I would focus on that.

Spray starter fluid into the throttle body and see if it will run?

You said you tried two different auto shops, how are you getting the truck to these shops if it doesn't start?

I am wondering if you have a PATS system? Do you have a chipped key? Do you have a theft light? Is the theft light blinking fast when the key is turned?

i have a car dolly and its a light truck so i use that to take it to the shops. Also the truck has no chip in the key, no alarm and no power locks or windows. No theft light either.

If you're checking for codes properly and getting that "unable to read" then my guess is you have a puter issue. Do you know if you were getting the unable to scan before it stopped running?

Try spraying starter fluid in TB. Did the shops have any thoughts?

I figured out what it is. It is the fuel pump itself. I was able to get the new pump installed and truck is running like a dream!! Thank you all for your help and efforts to get my truck running again!

That's awesome you got it fixed. Good job for a women, (jk)

You should find out what's wrong with your puter. You never know, maybe it's not shutting the fuel pump off?
