Default 2.3T swap for 95 up Ranger

Hey I have a 96 ford ranger and am needing to rebuild the 2.3 engine that is currently in the truck. I alike most people on here can't just put it back in stock.
I was considering doing some improvements to a NA 2.5L block that I have. I started adding up the cost with block work, new pistons, piston installation, rings, gaskets, decking head, new adjustable cam gear and such. For the little improvement I would make for the money how cost effective is it to just swap in a whole 2.3t block and all? Here are a couple engines I found on the local Craigslist:
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/4971297956.html
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/4992565314.html
I realize that if I had a good NA 2.3l crank I could swap all the internals since the large journal 2.3t crank won't fit my 2.5 block. Anyone have any experience doing a budget turbo build/ swap? Any thoughts are appreciated just trying to figure out if any of this is worth my time vs just putting a stock engine back in. Thanks.

The 2.5 cylinder head is a better flowing head than any of the 2.3's. The 2.3t cam shaft would be a better choice if you use the 2.5 head. Are they interchangeable? Idk. Or you could call esslinger, comp or crane for specs on a suitable cam

The cams are interchangeable so long as you use the followers for the cam decide to go with. The newer cam in the 2.5 head not easily swapped to the 2.3 do it having smaller valve stems.

So I am still considering swaping over the internals into my 2.3 engine. I have the chance to buy a 2.3t out of a 85 Chrysler New Yorker. Will the externals, exhaust manifold, intake manifold and turbo all fit with out modification in the engine bay? And does the wiring harness from the 96 all plug up? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah that's what I was told, maybe it's not even out of a New Yorker... I will have to take a real look at it. It did look just like a 2.3 with a turbo manifold and everything on it.

if it's a Lima it came in a turbo coupe, Merkur, or svo mustang. No Chrysler products came with the Lima
