Default Flowmaster?

Well idk about you guys but having a 4-cyl in high school when your friends all have v8 trucks or jeeps is what makes you the laughing stock of the group. So what do y'all think about putting in a flowmaster 40 series to make it at least sound better?

I have a cat back on my truck and like it. No matter what you do. If you want loud on a 2.3 no matter what, at high end you'll get it to sound ricy. I have a dynomax super turbo catback and love it. My 2.3 is a Lima where yours is the duratec. I would say possibly the flow master or a thrush welded muffler.

I have my 2.5 straight piped with a 12" X 2" cherry bomb. It sounds like a demon. Also gives me a headache so I have to compensate by turning up my volume.

You can laugh at them as they stop to get gas while you drive by.Go with dynomax, Flowmaster, or thrush welded. I had a dynomax and now a thrush welded, they sound nearly the same but the thrush isn't quite as ricey at high rpm and only cost 30-40$.

Who gives a $***? If it gets you to school and back and is a dependable vehicle, who cares? If you drive it and like it, then be proud. I'm sure they're driving their Daddy's V8 trucks and Jeeps anyway.

I have a 2 chambered flow master on my Mazda 2.5. I had to improvise to make it sound good. I had previously removed the cat. Stock tail pipe was to small made it ricey. So I went with 3" from muffler out to get a super deep tone. It was then still way to loud. So I installed a resonator in place of the cat. Results were super deep tone, not to loud. I can still use my hands free with no issues.

I love the straight piped trucks at my school, because my v6 now makes more torque than their big v8 cause its not straight piped and a super 44 or 40 series might work for your truck bit they're designed for v6's. So it might be a little quieter

Ok maybe a little over exaggerated lol, but this guy in the loudest Chevy Silverado thought he was cool and stuff, pulled up next to me at a red light, we both floored it and wouldn't you believe it, the little ranger that could was gone

He's in high school, remember? Image is everything.

Concepts like 'practical' and 'dependable' won't even be comprehendible for another decade at least.
