Default why is my truck randomly dying?

I have a 94 ranger supercab 2.3 5 speed I just replaced ignition control module, crank sensor, plugs and wires and the timing belt. before I replaced The crank sensor it would run like crap. I just replaced it and it runs better but while I'm driving it will randomly die like I shut it off with the key. it will usually start right back up without any problem. but I don't want to be driving it long distances until I get it fixed. any ideas?

Check your fuel pressure. An engine randomly dying is a strong indicator of a bad fuel pump.

I fixed it it was the ignition switch. Thank you though. but i do have another question. i removed the tranny to replace the flywheel and i noticed the input shaft moves up and down a lot. Is this bad? is it normal? I dont really do a lot of tranny work and dont want to put it back in if it is going to cause problems later on down the road.
