Default Pcv canister?

Hi everyone,

On my 89 2.3l, ther is a box, canister, etc underneath the intake manifold that my pcv hose connects to. It is very loose, flops around, and i am able to pull it right out of the hole in the block! I have a "parts engine that has this on it, but I am unable to get it to budge. I guess my question is: How is this secured to the block? An open hole into the crankcase is wide open for dust, dirt, trash, water, ect. to enter.

Any help is geatly appreciated.

Default Re: Pcv canister?

Hello, I hope you find this. Did you ever figure that out? Mine is a 85 same motor and have same problem. I was looking it over after buying this neglected truck... and it was just laying ther. And I could see the hole it went in... so pushed it back in and connected the hose. But what of it falls back out mid-drive?

Did you ever find a way to,secure it!?
I'll continue to scower Internet on this....
