What's this noise?
Sometimes when I shift into 2nd gear and give the truck gas, for maybe a second I hear a "coins in a coffee can" kind of noise or like trying to pull apart two stuck shopping carts when they come apart or scraping a metal rake on pavement. Not really sure what it is. Just started happening not too long ago. Doesn't do it all the time. Almost sounds like something rattling.

I've recently started hearing a creeking noise when I let off the clutch and give my truck gas on a cold start. It happens in every gear, but as the truck warms the noise goes away.
Is this your issue, OP? Idk whats going on but would like an answer

No. Sounds like the noise is going from the engine towards the muffler, and gets quieter once the muffler muffles the noise.

Cracked weld on the heat shield for the catalytic converter will rattle a lot in second gear.

Ahhh sounds like the cat heat shield. When it's cold find that catalytic converter and there will be a heat shield on top and bottom. Mess with it and see if it's loose. The welds break on them and it's common

Hmm, I thought they just removed that a few months ago because of noise. It solved the noise then, but this is a new noise. Unless there are two shields and they only removed one?
I'm wondering if it's related to the engine noise I've been getting between 70MPH and 72MPH. That's a bit loud like I'd expect if I'm doing 100MPH, but I don't hear anything from 0-69 and from 73+.
