Default Slow coolant loss?

So over the last several months (6 months?) my coolant level has dropped an inch or so.

I don't even know where to start looking? Its such a slow leak I doubt I could find it visually or anything.

What do? Ignore it and just top off now and then?

Check all hose connections for seeps, also check the overflow tank for leaks as well as the block freeze plugs.

Also check your radiator cap ($8), cuz mine leaked out once before. A few drops trickled out each time I drove.

Recently, my old radiator developed a slow leak between its metal core & the plastic side-panels that are crimped on. The leak grew over a few months, to I replaced the rad. See http://imgur.com/a/hNtZd

If all the ideas mentioned yield no results then have an oil analysis done. It could be leaking into the block.

You could crawl under the truck and look up at the bottom of the water pump to see if you might spot a drip. Actually one inch down over the course of six months is the kind of thing I'd just keep topping off until it got worse. That's almost acceptable.
