Truck seems to idle great unless you have the A/C on and then it wants to idle at around 500 rpm which it does not do well!

I'm thinking IAC valve but shouldn't I also have idle issue even when I am not using the A/C??

Everything looks clean really clean. I had the entire throttle body off when I did a valve cover gasket replacement about 6 months ago. I cleaned the heck out of it while it was off the truck.

Got out my trusty test leads and "powered" the IAC valve it clicks but there is no movement of the plunger in the IAC. I think I may be on to something.

he cool! i did my valve cover gasket recently too!
is it a 12v signal that the iac requires?

I figure 12v had to be at the high end of what it would need I just touched it off the battery to see what I got. Get a bunch of clicks but no movement.

I can move the internals in the IAC with my finger so they aren't seized up. Its like the solenoid somehow got disconnected from the shaft....

I may not be patient enough to wait on Rock-auto ;-) May have to run to NAPA.
