I just bought a 94 ranger pickup w/ a 2.3l that apparently has factory turbo

How common is this? I know little about this engine and can find few details . i'm guessing its the 2.3 sohc but those seem to have been available on earlier fords. any more info would be app.

The only rangers with a turbo 2.3 from the factory where diesels sold in Europe and the UK. If its a diesel it's not rare but is rare in the US and Canada. Many people put the turbo from the Murkur, SVO Mustang and Turbo Coupe Thunder Bird on rangers but the factory never did. So it maybe a factory turbo, but not for the ranger.
