Default 2.3 Missfire under engine load

so if im in high gear (4th or 5th) at low RPM and i put my foot down i get a few dead missfires. they really jerk the truck but once at a faster rev >1750 or so everything is normal.
it also occasionally happens when im starting off in 1st (again under engine load @ low rpm)

or maybe im almost stalling the truck??

i know its hard to diagnose engine problems on forums but maybe someone could enlighten me.

Try cleaning the IAC valve and see if that clears things up.

Have any check engine lights come on? I've had similar issues with no CELs and so far, no permanent fix.

My first guess would be the fuel system, clogged fuel filter, pump issues, or injector problems. My second guess would be electrical, check your plugs and wires. Maybe swap them and your ignition out.

I've had similar issues and am still working to get them out. I have cleaned the MAF and throttle body, and replaced the IAC, plugs and wires. Not perfect yet. I'll probably clean out my fuel system next, replacing the fuel filter first. Start with the easy and cheap stuff and work your way up. Unless somebody has a better way to go about fixing this.

so i had a chance to crawl under and take a closer look at the fuel system and i noticed somthing alarming.. some previous owner has removed the fuel return line.

would this effect fuel pressure? and then in-turn cause a miss?
whats your guys thoughts?
