Default 96 2.3L 4-c Ranger Misfire problems

To outline my issue: I gave my truck a tune up, New plugs, Wires, Oil, filter, trans filter, injection cleaner, and fluids. She drove great for about 200 miles, then one day started idling very rough. Checked OBD, said cylinder 2 + 4 misfire.

Considering I had new plugs and wires, went straight to replacing the coil packs. Now only cylinder 2 misfire.

Pulled the plugs and replaced them again. Still have cylinder 2 misfire. I have checked all the vacuum lines I can, looked through the wires, nothing seems damaged, but now I have no idea what to do. This is my daily driver and having it misfire is not acceptable but I'm out of ideas.

Here are the plugs I pulled out.

Just tested my #2 wires with a multimeter. Only .9k ohms res. Im at my whits end.

Friend said he thinks based on the ground strap melting that my injectors are too lean. The plugs I put in there as a replacement seem to be running fine. No ground strap melting etc. Appears to have nothing on them aside from the expected carbon buildup.

Since the problem is only in 1 cylinder I would assume its not a vacuum line or PCM issue, but IDK.

I was also told blinking check engine light means imminent mechanical failure. This is my only mode of transportation, so having it fail on me is a very serious issue. I don't drive it much, or very far, but I am out of options, its going to need a long stay in a mechanics shop next week if I can't figure this out very soon.

Can you hear any pinging when driving. How many electrodes melted? Melted electrodes means way lean, a timing issue, or big time carbon build up in the cylinders.

it has no real discernible tick. I am also kinda hard of hearing so that could be why. The cylinder 2 plugs had the grounding strips melted, both sides as the picture shows but when I pulled the others, they looked as typical plugs.

It has been mentioned before that is is running lean, but in the 96 model I have to pull off the headers just to get to the fuel assembly, so if that should be my next course of action, I will be taking it to a professional.

Wouldn't a timing issue lead to multiple misfires? At this point in time, the OBD only returns cylinder 2.

Timing issues would be multiple cylinder, thats why I asked if more than one cylinder had plug damage. Its possible the intake gaskets are leaking at the #2 cylinder, you can spray carb cleaner on the area to check for vacuum leaks. If there's a leak the idle will change. I'd also run seafoam or b12 chemtool through the brake booster line into the intake while the engine is running, this will help loosen up carbon built up in the cylinders and on the injectors. Other than that take it in and get the fuel system serviced.
