Hi there to All,
Have also broke a Timing Belt, sent it to replace at a Mechanic. Car ran perfectly for a couple of months, but afterwards started with grinding noise when starting. Broke 2 New Starters and one Flywheel. Replace all with new ones, but it keeps hitting the flywheel / starter when starting. Once started, truck ran like a pro. Idle @ around 700 to 800 rpm without any stalling nor knocking.
Last, Could really not start without pressing the full throttle to the floor.
Remember that when it was at the Mechanic, they also replaced 1 coil, because it stared to idle rough. So decided to replace the 2nd also with a new one.
So decided to check out the car myself with the help from a friend who has more experience working on cars.
We replaced some sensors, Fuel pump, but still no success.
Last I decided to dismantle the full Intake Manifold cause I felt and thought that the Injectors were leaking. Discovered the EGR line on the Intake Manifold was blocked causing me a Check Engine Light.
Upon fixing all, and starting, got the same issues.
Source for issue:
Friend told me to verify " FIRING ORDER OF THE SPARK PLUGS ON BOTH COILS"......and Man.......That was the Culprit of All my Issues.......
The day the Belt was replaced, they changed my firing Order on both coils.
The moment I put them back to the normal order, Every Issue was Resolved. No more hitting or grinding on Flywheel, nor starter.
A simple stupid Overlooked item that was caused by a helper of the Mechanic that cause me some money and months before it got fixed.
So Again, PLEASE CHECK YOUR FIRING ORDER ON BOTH COIL PACKS.

Hope this would help you out there.
