Default 84 2.3 has orange spark wont start
bought the truck not running I have checked timing it looks good I have fire at all plugs I sprayed it with starting fluid and it will not hit a lick I replaced coil because the spark seamed weak but new coil did not seem to help

Did you check the cap and rotor if it has one?

i looked at them i cant see any issues with them but could be i guess i did notice that whith the cap off the inside of the distributer is very nasty with oil i believe the crank breather was unhooked and it had been ran with out it so long that has exhausted all over the side of motor and contaminated the distribiter the guy that i got it from said it was running fine but got harder and harder to start and that it ended up only pull starting

ok thanks i will try that next i also noticed that the key switched is real sloppy and it will work even if the key is not in it
