Default Oil Light sensor location?

Can anyone explain to me where the oil Light sensor would be on a 1988 ford ranger 2.3L engine?

This info is from the 1989 manual. I don't have an 88.

The low oil level switch is in the left side of the oil pan.
The low oil level relay is inside the dash on the right side near the glovebox.
The oil pressure sending unit is in the left side of the block.

Good luck.

If the oil light flickers then goes off and flickers again then stays on but when I turn off the truck and restart it and its off, that means the sensor is bad right? Thanks for the reply's.

could be that the jack that plugs into the sensor is just a little loose from the heat and cold, expansion and contraction. sometimes you can take a pair of plyers and give it a little squeeze and it will stay on a little better
