I have a 88 2.3l 4cyl super cab ranger it runs like a top unless it gets over 4500rpm and kick in i guess what is the rev limiter. heres the problem if u hit that point its like it backs the rev limiter down to a lower rpm like 2750rpm
and it needs 3500rpm before shift to have power and quick accell. is that normal and is there a way to fix it. i considered an aftermarket ignition and distributer to bypass the rev limiter but its $300 and i wanted to hear some of your thoughts b4 i start throwing money at it
it has cold air intake a mustang head, msd coil new fuel pump(thought that was the problem first)
