Default Burning Oil 2.3L Duratec

Guys,

I just noticed that the last couple of oil changes, I have been using oil. My truck has about 76K on it, so I was surprised when I had to add 2 1/2 quarts. I haven't read that Duratecs use oil, but what is your experience?

Thanks for the help!

I think we figured it out today. The oil change guy noticed that the underside of my car is totally caked in oil. He thinks it might be the main seal, but he put in that colored additive to see exactly where its coming from..

Good news is, I bought a General Motors Warranty, which has a few thousand miles and a few months left.. I win! If its the main seal, someone will have to pull the engine or transmission.
