Seafoamed the tank last night after re-installing the newest batch of Motorcraft plugs. Ran like crap all the way to work. Checked the gap on the plugs before coming home and the rear two on the passenger side were down to .30 and .40. Regapped and headed home. Ran a little better. Picked up two cans of Seafoam and a new air filter on the way home. Seafoam through the brake vacuum. Going to take it out for a spin. My wife is picking up a new set of Motorcrafts on her way home. Dealer up by work was all out.

Thanks stateranger. I found that too while I was looking around, what a mess that intake would make...

So, I started the truck after Seafoaming the engine. Absolutely no smoke. I took it down the road and I noticed no difference since putting in the Seafoam and still no smoke. I put at least half a bottle of the stuff in, it stalled the truck. Once home again I dosed the engine, finally got some smoke and now wouldn't stall. I gave it a quick glug and shut it off while it was sputtering. This time when I started it the smoke was bailing out of it. Down the road I go, no hesitation, no chugging, It would pull itself to 60mph beautifully. Once it stopped smoking I brought it home and flipped in the brand, brand new Motorcrafts. The set that I pulled out looked no worse than they had previously and no bent electrodes!

New plugs installed. Drove to work today without issue, idle was nice and steady at stop signs. Still notice that slight ticking on the driver's side of the engine. I'm not touching the bloody thing!
