Default 95 ranger 4.0 stalling issue

New to forum, hello to all. Just purchased this used, 5 speed with 116K. ran great for about 1 week then it felt like it was going to stall when I came to a stop. Tried adjusting throttle screw slightly 1 full turn CW no help actually got worse. Did some searches and it looked like maybe idle control valve. Just replaced no improvement. backed off idle screw to where it was, no better. Basically when driving it is fine but when I come to stop RPM's will drop to zero and it stalls. Any help appreciated

Problem solved. When I removed ICV there was no gasket. There was no gasket in the box of the new one I purchased. All trouble shooting pointed to air or vacuum leak. Called Autozone and asked person to go back and look in other boxes to see if there was a gasket. Yes there was, he was nice enough to give me one, installed it and idles great.

OK problem is back but not quite as bad. Ran perfect, no stalling for about 20 mi (not at once) Nad it has begun to stall again when I stop. There is no another quirk and am wondering if it is related. Normally on this truck doors lock after ignition is started. No all of a sudden truck is not locking while truck is running the locks are locking 3-4 minutes after engine is shut down. Do the locks work off some type of vacuum? I assumed it was strictly electronic. It appears that the stalling issue may be a vacuum related problem, maybe one has something to do with the other.
