Re: What is it?!?!?!?
Engine displacement is the volume swept by all the pistons inside the cylinders of an internal combustion engine in a single movement from top dead centre (TDC) to bottom dead centre (BDC). It is commonly specified in cubic centimeters (cc), litres (l), or (mainly in North America) cubic inches. Motive power output of a combustion engine is directly proportional to the engine displacement. Engine displacement does not include the volume of the combustion chamber.
Bigger the litre, bigger the motor.

Re: What is it?!?!?!?
4.0 would be at or near 4000 cubic centimeters. 2.4l 2400 CC 5.0 5000 cc and so on the foreign cars were always measured in CC's I believe Good ole USA is the only country that uses cubic inches, and now we are switching too.

Re: What is it?!?!?!?
It's the Version of the software that your gerbil control interface is running. The newer the version, the faster you go. This is fairly new technology though. Thats why older cars were measured in cubic inches (of feed per hour) and newer cars are measured in version numbers. You have version 4.0l.

Re: What is it?!?!?!?
a liter is roughly 61 cubic inches. 4.0 litres times 61 cubic inches = 244 cubic inches +- a centimeter or two.

Lol I like my buddies reference to his 1.3 Mazda rotary 13b in his RX-7. It's a 1 liter bottle topped of with .3 liters of whiskey and a whole lot mount and dew!!!
