Default Cracked head or blown gasket?

Hey guys. I'm new here AND to fords. The only other ford I've owned was my 89 mustang with the big ole 2.3 in it with a 5 speed to make it feel a little faster lol. Always been a chevy guy but I came across this little ranger that had the bigger motor in it, I figured I'd give it a shot. I got it from a car lot for 3000 it's a 93 longbed with the 4.0 auto. Low-ish miles. Around 156.5k. Bodys pretty straight other than a little dent here and there... Maybe 5... And they're not big at all. The interior and engine bay are really clean. Plus it was owned by an older couple who i wouldnt think would drive it hard. Only thing really bad I noticed, other than the longed part which I didn't mind as much, was the color. Lol it's a tan/gold color. Well, on to the subject. The guy told me when I bought it thet a gasket was bad causing it to leak oil. So he kept it over the weekend. I go pick it up and drive it around... No problems. I check under the truck to look for leaks and it was pretty nasty. I couldn't tell much so I sprayed it off so I could tell when I got home if it was still leaking. I get home and check it a couple hrs later and it's still leaking oil. Well I take it back today to have them look at it and right off the guy tells me it has to be a cracked head because he had just put a head gasket on it. Then he goes on to say that he really don't know it could be the gasket. I don't know what it is but it's pissing me off. I want to know if they're being straight up with me so I can call them out on their lies. It's leaking oil and coolant and that's really all I know other than he just put that gasket on a week ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

the old 4.0 likes to suck the intake manifold gaskets...that could be the coolant leak...the oil leak could be any number of things...what does the oil look like? milky?
