When did the 4.0 go to SOHC. Iknow someone here knows.Thanks in advance.

The SOHC was introduced into the Ranger in 2001.
The 4.0 is a 6 cylinder engine so I've moved this thread to the 6 cylinder engine forum.

The SOHC first debuted in the Explorer in 1997, then as stated above.
