Default Po406 code

Hello and thank you for reading. I'm new to the forum, and relatively new to my truck. I purchased a '10 XLT with high mileage (+60k). I've had a CE light that is coding po406 high. We've replaced the EGR solenoid and the DPFE sensor. The code remains. Our next step is checking voltages to see if there is a short somewhere.

My question is about the DPFE. The sensor itself has mounting holes, but free-stands in the engine. That does not make sense. I'm (hopefully) attaching a photo of what I'm seeing. Can anyone else with a 2010 reply with what they see on their truck? Photo reply if yours is different?

My DPFE is also free standing but I do not have mounting holes. Remember that there are 3 types of DPFE sensors, so the pins may not be in the same order. Make sure you have the correct one. Also check that you have 5v at the supply plug.

2001 Ford Ranger with the flare sides. 4x4 with a 4.0 engine. The only thing I did so far is: F/R Brakes, rotors, drums, F/R shocks, tires, bed cap, cone filter, hanger/shackles, F/P wheel bearing, upper control arm, lower ball joint, filler neck, fuel filter and DPFE sensor, muffler, sway bar links and spark plugs!
