Rough idle, dying, truck wont go over 75 on the freeway. HELP!
When i first start the truck in the morning or something, it idles pretty rough and usually dies a couple times. I have to give it some gas for a minute before it will stay running. Also when doing this, when it is about to die the volts gauge bounces around a little bit. when the rpms drop to 500 or so the lights go dim then when it picks up they go brighter.I keep thinking it could be the alternator, or maybe a vacuum issue but i havent had a chance to really look into it yet. Also it has a hard time getting over 75 on the freeway. I am going to do the throttle cable mod to see if that helps anything. Any thoughts on this?
