Default bypass the inertia switch?!??

Anyone have any ideas how to bypass the inertia switch without causing any issues? Like many others I've had mine pop every once in awhile. About a month ago it got kicked & now I am constantly resetting it. I could replace it but I'd much rather be rid of it.

If you are constantly resetting it that just tells me its bad and just needs replaced. It should work fine after that. You dont want to delete a safety feature like that.

I know its a safety feature & I was thinking its probably better to just replace it. I've seen all the issues people have with them & wondered if anyone had tries bypassing it.

Yes, it is.
Then you have to replace it I don't know the year or model of your truck but they start around $25 for an aftermarket

O6 4x4 Sport. No aftermarket switch available, not around here anyway. I ordered a new switch for it. Was just wondering about the possibility of bypassing it. Before the switch went bad it seemed almost every time I take the thing off the road it pops within acouple days. Maybe its been bad since I bought the truck, don't know.

Hopefully it didn't hurt the wallet too much. I think it is the right move to replace it!!!

Im thinking after you get it replaced you'll be fine. I had a bad one when i first bought my truck in 07. Got it replaced and have been wheeling numerous times since and never had a problem.
