Default Fan clutch bolt size?

Ok so I've read a bunch of threads on removing the fan clutch and I rented the fan clutch wrench from autozone but it just slips and is starting o strip the nut. Anybody know what size wrench fits on the fan clutch nut on a 94 4.0?

Sorry, no. I just used a small pipe wrench on that. It was a snug fit but it worked.

Maybe you figured this out, but in case not...I just replace mechanical fan with electric on 07 4.0 litre V-6. Borrowed the kit from Crappy Tire and same problem. What worked is use the large wrench from the kit to hold the bolts on the pully - go back to Crappy Tire and buy the biggest adjustable wrench - have buddy hold the large wrench from kit - place adjustable wrench on nut - using BFH (preferably rubber mallet), hammer adjustable counter clockwise and nut will relase. Have fun!

BTW for my American friends, Crappy Tire is what most of us call Canadian Tire (Similar to your Pep Boys, etc.)

Installed Flex a lite 180, puller. Wiring kit and temp sender included Zero issues with computer. Turn on temp is easily adjustible. Very easy to install and works perfect.

I ended up using a strap wrench to hold the pulley then put a large adjustable wrench on the large bolt. I'm using a 14 inch fan and a torqflo adjustable wiring kit. I have mine set to kick on when the needle gets to the halfway mark an it usually kicks off when it gets just below the letter N on the gauge.

I use a air hammer to bust em fans off. Sit the Set the chisel on the edge of the nuts give her a few bursts. She will break loose every time
