Headers on the street are a waste of money, save some of it and just redo your stock system with high flow muffler and CATs !!

I've been HotRoding for 48yrs so trust me on this

Torque it down till it breaks off, then back it off 1/4 turn.

Hi I need to echo rangerman, it is a bit more complicated than just slapping on duals with big pipes and amplified noise. Do some serious reading on air flow and velocity, and keep in mind that engines are big air pumps and nothing more. All engines need a bit of back pressure meaning keeping pipe dia. to specs. Keep in mind that to increase the back end of the system you need to increase what is going on inside the pump.

2 examples - My son a few years back had a 1989 Chevy s10 V6. He let his friends convince him that he needed duals with headers. Before the operation the truck was tuned nicely and ran to best performance. After the pipes the truck had these 2.75" setup and didn't run for nothing. I told him to get rid of the headers and pipes. after $600. he couldn't resell the pipes and put on the stock ones because the shop tossed the original stuff. he sold the truck 3 months later at a loss.

next i will tell you what I did to my 1991 4.0 engine. Complete tear down, with compcam 410, new everything except pistons and rods. Major head work. this motor is geared to put on headers and pipes because it is made to breathe, however I kept on the stock pipes with single exhaust. Yes this truck has uhmmph when it is stepped on.

Just some food for thought. cheers

I have JBA on my truck. The quality of the headers is good but dealing with gaskets blowing out is completely annoying. On a daily driver I would never install headers again.
