shakes a lot....
Best way to describe it is like this. I have a 95 4.0 v6 with 300K miles. The engine, trans, shocks, wiring are all original. I know, crazy right. I've been having a problem for some time with my truck shaking while accelerating on the highway when I get to 55 mph. (it's an automatic). I just had the spark plugs and wire replaced (they were original, too) and it has somewhat helped. I put sea foam into the fuel tank to help push out some of the residing gunk, but I still got a case of the shakes. I did all this today/tonight so I know that I need to let it rest some before I try to go test out some madness, but I need a little advice. At what point in time do I need to think about finding a different reason for my truck to shake like all hell when I'm accelerating. It's got a bit of a popping sound going when I come to a stop at a light, but doesn't do that when I'm actually driving. I figured that the seafoam would help resolve that, but I know it needs time to. I'm afraid of really revving it up because, well to be honest, I don't want to blow up in my truck. Also, I don't want it to blow something while trying to kick all the dirt and grime out the back end causing more problems. I hope that this makes sense to someone out there before I have to go explain this problem to a guy who won't believe me because when he sees my car, it won't do any of the above problems.
