Default Ticking in my 4.0

Does the 94 Ranger have hydralic lifters in it cause I have a ticking sound in my motor and it souonds like a lifter. When I hit the gas the ticking goes faster.

odds are it is your rocker arms, they tend to wear out, get a new set or rocker arms and then run these rocker spacers to help with the oiling and rocker noise.
