Default Coolant temp sensor

Anyone know how to take the plug off the sensor? I'm trying not to take off any parts to get to it but I can't access the plug easily and I don't see how the plug comes off.

What engine? A signature would help here.

If 01+ 4.0 SOHC, there's no way to unclip the temp sensor without unbolting the intake manifold off the heads/block.

I was afraid of that! Guess I'll go ahead and change the thermostat to while I'm there. I've never had a vehicle where I had to unbolt the intake to get to the thermostat!! Thanks!

If it is a 01+ 4.0 SOHC, which we still don't know because there still isn't a sig or any info on the truck, the intake manifold o-rings are reuseable but it's smart to go ahead and replace them when you do it. It's a pretty easy job removing the manifold. Just take your time and unclip all the crap attached to it and it's good to go. I had to go back in and trace an incorrect solder I made...
